Some areas of New Jersey could be hit by strong thunderstorms as a cold front moves through the region and clashes with warm air. Although the storms are not expected to be widespread, some isolated storm cells could become severe with small hail and wind gusts as high as 60 mph. The National Weather Service noted that there is a better chance of strong or severe thunderstorms in the southern half of the state. The cold front is expected to bring colder air and trigger the showers and thunderstorms.
