Reimagined Denver Pavilions envisioned as new public square

A study led by the Denver Downtown Development Authority has recommended the demolition and reimaguation of the Denver Pavilions into a new public plaza, housing, retail, and public square. The proposal is expected to cost $615 million. The city purchased the Pavilons and two adjacent parking lots for $37 million last year. Public-private partnerships may also be in place to preserve the existing theater.
