App Store fight continues as Apple and Epic clash over court-ordered stay

Apple and Epic have filed new requests to the Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit to maintain a court-ordered stay in their ongoing App Store legal battle. The court granted Apple's motion to stay a recent ruling requiring it to loosen certain App Store rules related to alternative payment methods. On April 6, Epic filed a motion asking the court to reconsider its decision to grant Apple's request for stay, arguing that the court's decision was issued prematurely as under the Federal Rules of Appellate Procedure, Epic would have had 10 days to respond to Apple’s request to stay the mandate. Apple responded by saying there's no reason to revisit the stay and disputes Epic's claims of harm.
