Cleveland-based Collision Bend Brewing Co. is planning to expand westward to a brewery-brewpub in Lorain County as part of the Lorain Ohio KartPlex. The complex is located at 2000 Root Road, a couple of miles south of U.S. 6. The expansion came about due to Luke Purcell's longtime relationship with the KartPlex's Kristopher McCrone. The brewery will use a five-barrel system, smaller than its one downtown and a fraction of the one in Euclid, and have a full kitchen. The project is expected to open in summer.
