Chapin girls 4x100 meter relay State bound

The Chapin girls track relay teams have earned their second consecutive trip to the state meet. The team finished first in the Area round with a time of 45.91 seconds, surpassing the class 5A state winning time set by last year. This is the first time the girls have reached the state championship since 2023. Coach Mario Gomez, who has been coaching the girls for 13 years, expressed his intention to bring back a gold medal. Despite the success of the relay, the girls acknowledge their coach's hard work and love. They also acknowledge the importance of representing their city in the upcoming state meet, stating it would be "very emotional" for them.
