UCLA women's basketball coach, Cori Close, has managed to balance joy and tension in order to guide the team to the Final Four, where they have only lost one game on their way to a second consecutive Final Four. Close has been known for her innovative coaching methods, including teaching players how to handle special situations like end-of-game shots. She also fosters a growth mindset, encouraging players to write in journals about their experiences and learn from each other's experiences to strengthen their self-control. Despite this, there have been times of tension and joy, with players expressing appreciation for the fun aspect of the team. The Bruins will face fellow top seed Texas in a national semifinal.
