Coral Springs Vice Mayor Nancy Metayer Bowen was allegedly killed by her husband, Stephen Bowen, in a domestic violence incident. The incident occurred on the same day as her death. The South Florida community has shared heartfelt tributes and created a tribute video celebrating her service to the City of Coral Springs. Her colleagues and community leaders have shared their heartfelt messages about her service and dedication to the community. The Florida Panthers held a moment of silence before a game against the Boston Bruins and left flowers outside of City Hall in her memory. The public is also remembering her for her heart, compassion for others and community service.
