Surging oil prices sign of gas-price hike in central Ohio

The recent dip in central Ohio gasoline prices is expected to be short-lived due to rising oil prices, according to a survey by GasBuddy. The survey also revealed that the average price of gas in the area fell by 19.8 cents per gallon from last week to average out at $3.67 per gallon. However, the current price is still 6.1 cent lower than four weeks ago, but still 54.8 cent higher than this time one year ago. Outside of Ohio, gas prices dropped for the first time in 10 weeks, by 9.4 cents, and the price of diesel followed suit.
