Elaine Luria, a 20-year Navy veteran, former small business owner and former member of Congress, has criticized Congresswoman Jen Kiggans for voting against extending the Affordable Care Act (ACA) tax credits, which caused health care costs to skyrocket. Luria was one of the key votes on the ACA tax credits in 2022, which provided affordable and accessible health coverage to millions of Americans. However, she argues that her vote could be the difference between a Virginian being able to afford their insurance, or losing their coverage altogether.
