A new state-of-the-art community field and youth recreation complex at Hazelwood Green is set to be operated by Steelers Charities and branded with the Pittsburgh Steelers logo. The facility will host youth football, clinics with Steelers players, soccer games, and indoor sports and recreation activities. One of the organizations set to benefit is the Hazelwood Cobras, a local youth football team. The field is located on the site of the former LTV Steel Pittsburgh Works and spans 178 acres across the Monongahela River from the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex. Local businesses are optimistic about the field's impact on the community.
