Denbighshire council says new Welsh language policy 'misunderstood'

The approved plans for a new Welsh language policy have been criticised as being misunderstood by some in the media. The policy requires all internal communications to be bilingual and staff encouraged to adopt the language, and departments with low performance could be identified for training. The council will also maintain a database showing the level of Welsh required for each role and current staff skills of staff to use as a basis for planning, learning, and training.
