Fifth Third Bank has opened its first California branch in Fresno, a branch at 7160 N. First St. and is part of a planned 85-branch statewide buildout. The bank, which holds nearly $300 billion in assets, offers walk-in service from local bankers and access to its mobile app and Momentum Banking platform. This is the first Fifth Third-branded location in California and is set to undergo a larger conversion later this year to rebrand the California branches acquired through its merger with Comerica Inc. This move is part a broader national growth strategy for the bank.
