Miles McBride and Landry Shamet are two of the Knicks' three most important bench players, with Mitchell Robinson being the other. Both had similar struggles throughout the regular season, with Shamet shooting only 30.4 percent from deep in 16 games and McBride shooting 35.7 percent from the back in six games after returning from a 28-game absence due to a sports hernia surgery. Despite these struggles, coach Mike Brown believes in their ability to provide an edge over the Hawks in bench production. McBride's performance in the conference finals last year was particularly disappointing.
