The study suggests that more than 9 million American jobs could be displaced in the next two to five years, potentially costing $200 billion to $1.5 trillion. The most vulnerable jobs include computer programmers, web designers, financial planners, data scientists, and authors and journalists. Researchers believe that only those who leverage AI to enhance their positions will survive. The researchers also noted that workers in urban hubs as well as university towns are most at risk.
