A grant by Goodwill Arkansas is expanding access to job training and education programs across Arkansas, with a focus on helping adult students and people in rural communities gain new skills and career opportunities. The $77,000 scholarship funding was provided through the Caterpillar Foundation and Google's Career Certificates initiative. The funding will expand access to training programs through Goodwill’s Training and Education Centers, which combine two programs: The Excel Center, an adult high school, and The Academy, which provides career certifications and job training programs. The programs include certifications in high-demand fields such as IT support, data analytics, digital marketing, project management and artificial intelligence.
