Hundreds feared dead after boat capsizes

A boat carrying Rohingya refugees and Bangladeshi nationals has capsized in the Andaman Sea, with at least 250 people believed to be dead. The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and the International Organization for Migration stated that the boat was on its way to Malaysia when it foundered. The Bangladesh Coast Guard managed to rescue nine people. The incident highlights the human cost of protracted displacement and the absence of durable solutions for the Rohingya.
