Three teenagers from Tennessee are suing Elon Musk's xAI, the company's artificial intelligence company, alleging that its image-generation tools were used to create sexually explicit images of them as minors. The high school students, who are seeking class-action status under pseudonyms, allege that the person distributing the images used xAI's tools to morph real photos of them into explicit sexual images. The lawsuit alleges that the perpetrator used these images to create explicit images and trade them for sexually explicit content of other minors. It also alleges that xAI knew that its chatbot, Grok, could produce sexually explicit imagery of children but released it anyway. The students fear that the images created of them will live forever on the internet, and fear stalking as their real first names and school names are attached to the files. XAI has not responded to requests for comment.
