Hundreds of University of California students gathered at the California state Capitol to advocate for increased investment in higher education and support systems for students. The rally, organised by the University of Florida Student Association, took place on the Capitol's west steps. Several state leaders, including California Assemblymember Jessica Caloza, are expected to speak at the event. The students are advocating for a range of priorities, including increased higher education funding, housing reforms, and expanded financial aid. They also want more representation on the University's Board of Regents, which votes on major issues such as tuition increases.
