Mayor Zohran Mamdani has marked his first 100 days in office, condemning an alleged terrorism plot targeting a protest outside Gracie Mansion. He stood with NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch as the pair announced charges, with two men, Emir Balat and Ibrahim Kayumi, arrested for allegedly throwing suspicious devices at an anti-Muslim demonstration. The attempted terrorism plot was described as "ISIS-inspired." Mamdan and Tisch also attended the NYPD Recruit Graduation Ceremony to celebrate the graduates from the academy. The mayor also presented awards to high-performing graduates and gave an award to the class of Mayor’s Award.
