Fannie Masemola: South Africa's police boss to appear in court over Vusimuzi 'Cat' Matlala deal

General Fannie Masemola, the head of South Africa's police force, has been served with a notice to appear in court over his alleged role in the awarding of a $21m ($15.5m) health contract. The contract was given to controversial businessman Vusimuzi "Cat" Matlala's company, which has since been formally charged with corruption. There is no word on Masemol's possible suspension.
