A single-engine plane crash occurred around 3:30 p.m. on May 12, 2026, at the Tallulah-Vicksburg Municipal Airport in Mound, Louisiana. The pilot was identified as Dan Fordice, the son of former Mississippi Governor Kirk Fordice. The Madison Parish Sheriff's Office is investigating the crash, along with the Federal Aviation Administration.
