The incident occurred after a gunman opened fire on security personnel at the Washington Hilton, leading the Secret Service to evacuate President Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and other top administration officials. Buckingham Palace confirmed that the visit will proceed as planned. The trip will include a private meeting between Charles and President Trump and a speech marking America's 250th anniversary of its independence from Britain.
