A student at Zion-Benton Township High School is suing the school district for failing to implement safety policies and failing to adequately address the threat posed by the alleged attacker. The lawsuit alleges that the victim, a 17-year-old girl, suffered permanent injuries following the stabbing on Jan. 9. The alleged attacker, who is currently facing juvenile charges, is also named in the lawsuit.
