Texas State Representative, Vincent Perez, is seeking to suspend the license of Dr. Oscar Vargas, a 68-year-old dentist from El Paso, who is facing allegations of sexual assault of a child and child pornography. Vargas was arrested twice in February, once on Feb. 9 after allegations surfaced that he had sexually assaulted a child, and then again on February 24 on child pornography charges. Despite these arrests, Vargas' license remained active. He is accused of feeding drugs, alcohol, and sex enhancing drinks to an underage girl before sexually assaulting her multiple times from July to November 2025. The victim alleges that Vargas would send her explicit photos and videos of him masturbating, recording parts of the assaults with his cellphone.
