Despite being acquitted on all other counts, Rivera still faces the possibility of a 90-plus year sentence without parole. The NYPD Commissioner, Jessica Tisch, expressed relief that justice was not fully served in this case, stating that the judge can still ensure that Rivera spends the rest of his life in prison. Despite this, Tisch maintains that the department will always show up for Diller's widow, Stephanie, and his son, Ryan.
