Two arrested after motorcycles hit 118, 122 mph on Phoenix-area freeway

Two motorcyclists were arrested for allegedly driving more than 115 mph on a major Phoenix freeway on March 29, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS). The motorcycles were recorded at 122 mph and 118 mph in a posted 65-mph zone. One rider led troopers on a short chase after a traffic stop and eventually being taken into custody. Both motorcycles were impounded and towed from the scene. The arrests were not immediately disclosed.
