YouTube’s Tuma Basa to Exit as Director of Black Music & Culture

Longtime YouTube executive, Tuma Basa, has announced his departure from the company after eight years. Basa was known for spotlighting African artists and helping to their growth in the US. He previously held music programming roles at BET, MTV, and REVOLT. He also served as global programming head of hip-hop at Spotify.
