Globo Filmes, one of Brazil's largest film production firms, has announced a fiction feature bio, "Spring of the Dragon," focusing on legendary director Glauber Rocha. The film will be produced by Vania Catani’s Bananeira Filmes and co-produced by Globo Filmmes. The announcement was made at Cannes, where three of Rochas' films played Cannes main competition, making him the first Latin American filmmaker to win such an honor. The news also comes as Globo Films and production house Conspiraçao have revealed new details about “The Brokers”, a film about real estate. The cast includes Bruno Mazze, Camila Márdila, George Saaraffo, and Katiuscia Canoro.
