Yesenia Hall, a Bronx mother, was stabbed multiple times to death by her longtime boyfriend, Juan Rivas, according to prosecutors. Hall's children witnessed the attack and tried to stop Rivas. Rivas was arrested later that day and has been charged with her murder. The victim's daughter, Jaylah Maldonado, wrote on GoFundMe that her mother's last words were, 'I'm sorry. I'm dying. My mother did not make it.' The wound to Hall's son's neck has left him temporarily unable to speak as he recovers at Lincoln Hospital. Despite multiple arrests for domestic violence against Hall, Rivas had a history of arrests.
