Waymo brings traffic to a standstill in major American city

Autonomous ride-hailing company Waymo has caused a major traffic jam in Atlanta, Georgia, causing traffic to completely block. The company had previously suspended service in San Francisco due to a blackout that left its robotic vehicles dead in the water and unable to navigate the city. This incident is not the first time Waymo, which was forced to suspend service due to its vehicles' ignorance of the “four-way-stop” rule. The Insurance Institute of Highway Safety has stated that Waymo's vehicles are safer than human drivers and have been involved in 90% fewer crashes resulting in serious injuries. Auto insurance companies have a significant stake in the future as autonomous vehicles could potentially change rates.
