NASA's Artemis II mission, the first human lunar mission in over 50 years, was spoofed by "Saturday Night Live" in a skit hosted by actor Colman Domingo. The skit featured an exasperated NASA pilot, Victor Glover, whose serious message from space is interrupted by crew antics. The mission, which ended with a California water landing, set up the stage for future Artemis missions, including a planned moon landing in 2028. During the mission, astronauts traveled farther in space than any other humans have ever done, collecting observations and data for scientists back on Earth.
