An Idaho Falls man, Logan Dakota Stephens, has been sentenced to up to 20 years in prison for shooting a 35-year-old bystander in June 2024. The incident occurred during a confrontation at the Melaleuca building parking lot. Stephens had previously pleaded guilty to felony aggravated battery and a deadly weapon enhancement. He will not be eligible for parole until at least 2032. The shooting victim survived the attack.
