OpenAI now lets teams make custom bots that can do work on their own

OpenAI has introduced a new system that allows teams to create custom bots that can perform business tasks on their own. The company is offering users of its Business, Enterprise, Edu, and Teachers plans access to cloud-based "workspace" agents in ChatGPT. These agents are designed to gather context from systems and follow team processes. However, this could potentially signal the end of OpenAI's "GPTs", which were announced in 2023. The move comes amid increased competition from companies like Anthropic, which also offers its own Claude Cowork agent.
