The inaugural Java House Grand Prix of Arlington in North Texas attracted over 70,000 racing fans. The event was held in the entertainment district of Arlington, featuring a 2.72-mile street circuit that looped around AT&T Stadium, Globe Life Field, and Loews Arlington Hotel & Convention Center. The race, which covered nearly 200 miles over 70 laps, was the culmination of years of negotiations and discussions between IndyCar officials and the City of Arlington.
