The new Resident Evil movie, directed by Zach Cregger, will take place "on the periphery" of Resident Evil 2. The film follows the story of Bryan, a hospital courier who battles zombies and encounters horrors worse than the gig economy. Despite this, Cregger insists that he is not breaking any rules regarding the character Leon S. Kennedy or Chris Redfield. The production designer, Tom Hammock, showed us a variety of sets, including a "creature wall" that represents creatures from the games. The movie's first trailer shows Bryan arriving at a creepy remote farmhouse, and Raccoon City, still on the map.
