Another Trump ally in the Warner Bros. fray

GOP fundraiser Jeff Miller has joined the lobbying frenzy over Warner Bros. Discovery's acquisition, becoming the latest member of Trump world to join the effort. His firm, Miller Strategies, began working for WBD shortly after the proposed sale to Netflix was cancelled due to antitrust concerns. Prior to the collapse, much of the hiring surge was from rival companies Netflix and Paramount. Meanwhile, Spotify has lobbied up after the Trump administration threatened to bring it into a trade dispute with Europe. The company retained Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld in January to lobby on digital and trade issues. The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative warned against European companies, including Spotify, that they could be targets for retaliation. The American Diabetes Association will host a fly-in tomorrow to advocate for funding for diabetes research and prevention programs and access to coverage and affordable treatments.
