A woman remains hospitalized following an unprovoked stabbing in Old Town, Portland, early Sunday morning. The incident occurred while Kayla Harrell was out celebrating a friend's birthday with her husband, Daniel Harrell, when a woman approached them and stabbed them in the chest. When police arrived, they found Kayla with several stab wounds and witnesses trying to help her. The suspect, 36-year-old Achillia A. Palmer, was detained by security guards and faces several charges including attempted murder and unlawful use of a weapon. Harrell is expected to be in the hospital for several more weeks.
