The U.S. government has reached a settlement in its antitrust lawsuit against Live Nation, but Virginia is one of the states still pushing forward with the legal fight. The settlement, which still requires a judge's approval, means Live Nation will not need to divest any assets from Ticketmaster or any other company. This follows the Department of Justice's previous claim that Live Nation's corporate tie-up created an illegal monopoly that harmed consumers and performers. The company also plans to divest 13 exclusive booking agreements with amphitheaters nationwide.
