Anonymous Sources Detail Sam Altman’s Alleged Untrustworthiness in New Report

A New Yorker investigation has revealed that Sam Altman was ousted as CEO of OpenAI in late 2023 due to his untrustworthiness. The report suggests that Altman's board members did not find him trustworthy to handle the implementation of artificial superintelligence (AGI), a highly contested super-powered future AI system that could outperform human intelligence on all fronts. The board members were replaced by Altman allies such as economist Larry Summers and former Facebook CTO Bret Taylor. The investigation also revealed that Altzman's alleged history of lying to executives and government officials, including U.S. intelligence officials. The allegations follow Altman from startup accelerator Y Combinator, where he was removed due to mistrust.
