Man accused in Ponte Vedra double murder went to Walgreens to ‘confront girlfriend’ over infidelity: report

Christian Barrios, the 32-year-old accused of murdering his girlfriend and another man in Ponte Vedra, Florida, went to a Walgreens to confront them over suspected infidelity, according to arrest warrant from the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office. The report stated that Barrio jumped out of their car and began walking towards the woman and the man before multiple gunshots were heard. Following the incident, Barrieos contacted a witness who was his friend, who was speaking with law enforcement. The arrest warrant also detailed how Barriose allegedly stole a BMW and attempted to evade law enforcement before being caught in Nassau County. The double homicide has shocked residents in Pont Vedra known for its low crime rate.
