Saudi Arabia's largest oil company, Aramco, is named the most profitable company in history, earning $104.7 billion in profits last year. This makes it significant for Saudi Arabia in politics and business, as well as in the oil industry. Aramco has invested heavily into the sovereign wealth fund and has been instrumental in securing no-bidded hosting rights to the 2030 World Expo and the 2034 FIFA World Cup.
