Christy Parker, the leader of an interstate sex trafficking ring, has pleaded guilty to two counts of sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, and one count of conspiracy to commit sex trafficking. She was one of six people indicted in the conspiracy in July 2024 and has remained in federal custody since. Parker and her co-defendants trafficked victims across Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and South Carolina. She used beatings, threats, intimidation, sleep deprivation, and starvation to coerce the victims into commercial sex work. The remaining defendant, Alexander Smalls, is still awaiting trial.
