Beatrice Black, the CEO of the Women's and Children’s Alliance in Boise, has been stepping down after 18 years in her role. She will now serve as Executive Advisor, marking a leadership transition at the area's long-standing domestic violence and sexual assault service organizations. Black started at the Women’s and Children's Alliance in 2008 and has spent 18 years with the organization. She credits her dedication to the organization's mission of helping people find or regain their sense of self-worth, which she says can take away. The organization's services include a 24/7 hotline, 24/28 safe shelter, counseling, case management, and court advocates. Laura Honn will take over the CEO position.
