The Mummy 4, starring Brendan Fraser, is set to return to its original locations in the upcoming movie, which will include a return to iconic locations. The film will be directed by Fraser as Rick O'Connell and Rachel Weisz, who were not in the third film, will follow on from the second movie, The Mummy Returns. The sequel could still jump back to Egypt in the 1920s and 1930s when the duo accidentally awoke the Mummy. Despite attempts to reboot the franchise with spin-off series and a different take in Tom Cruise's 2017 movie, Fraser remains hopeful about returning to the character he played as the Mumm. The Mummatic 4 will release on May 19, 2028.
