Freida McFadden's The Divorce Sells To Studiocanal For Movie Adaptation

Studiocanal has secured rights to bestselling author Freida McFadden's novel, The Divorce, for a feature adaptation. The film will be produced by Working Title and will be developed by StudiocAnal and fully financed, with Ron Halpern and Joe Naftalin overseeing development and production. The book was published via Sourcebooks imprint Poisoned Pen Press on May 26 and follows the character of Naomi, who becomes obsessed with the younger woman her husband leaves her for. The project reunites McFadden with Studiocaanal after their international release of The Housemaid, which grossed over $400 million worldwide.
