Americans in Middle East should leave now, State Department says

The State Department is urging Americans in several Middle East countries to leave as the United States and Israel increase strikes against Iran. The warning comes in a post on X, stating that the Department of State is "urging Americans to DEPART NOW" from more than a dozen countries, including Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and the United Arab Emirates. The State Department also updated travel advisories for six Middle Eastern countries on March 2. Additional resources are available for Americans in the region, including enrollment in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STP).
