A small plane carrying two people, a Cessna 172, crashed into the Hudson River on Monday, March 2 while attempting an emergency landing. The pilot and passenger were able to safely extract themselves from the water and swim to shore. The incident occurred near the New York Stewart International Airport in Orange County. The cause of the crash has not yet been determined. New York Governor Kathy Hochul called the incident "another miracle on the Hudson".
