The Asian Development Bank (ADB) is investing $70 billion into new energy and digital infrastructure in the region, with Southeast Asia expected to be the most benefit. The program includes a pan-Asia power grid initiative, connecting national and subregional power systems, and an Asia-Pacific digital highway. The bank has set 2035 as the deadline for funding projects. While the funds are intended for the entire Asia-Philippe region, experts suggest that larger economies like China, India, and Japan already have more established domestic capital markets and greater fiscal capacity to fund large scale projects.
