The Russian government is attempting to ban the online messaging application, Telegram, for life. The app was almost entirely restricted by April 10, with a 95% failure rate for those trying to access it without a mask. In response, Telegram's CEO, Pavel Durov, has encouraged users to use VPNs to circumvent the government's censorship. The government's rationale for this is unclear.
