The proposed budget for 2026-27 includes $12.4 billion for aid to the state's 574 public school districts. This is the second consecutive year that Lacey Township will receive state aid, with a 6% increase over the previous year. Most aid increases were capped at 6% and most cuts were reduced at 3%. However, this increase will not be enough to offset a $5 million deficit.
